Originally, a Society under joint stock Companies Act, came to be registered in 1933 under the name and style of Tajabad Committee.

During the time of Partition, almost all of those officiating body members and the Khadims in the Dargah defected to Pakistan or to Hyderabad under Nizam. Consequently, an unregistered society; floated by devout of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin who defiled boundaries of religion or caste, under the little of Taj Baba Sevak Sangh, Nagpur, shouldered the challenge of celebrating Urs and other programmes at the Durgah, from the year 1947 to 1950.

After Government of India under the leadership of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, Vanquished Nizam and annexed the state of Hyderabad, some people claiming to be erstwhile Khadims of Dargah, tried to take over the administration of Tajabad Committee, Nagpur. As this was giving rise to violent confrontations, S.D.O. Nagpur was compelled to take cognizance under section 145 Cr.P.C. and appoint a receiver for its administration the management of this committee was looked after by receivers till 1984.

This resulted in legal wrangling, beginning with civil suit No. 1/1966. This resulted in the Hon. II Extra Judge, Nagpur. after a prolonged legal procedure, passing a thoroughly reasoned judgment, including framing a scheme of Trust, vide order and judgment dt. 25/02/1970 . After further legal challenges right upto Supreme court, the first board of trustees under this scheme come to be appointed in 1984. The name of the trust was changed to Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust, bearing the same Registration No. F-280 (N).
