Salaana Annual Urs :- ‘Urs’ literature means a period of ‘Celebration’. As Baba Tajuddin got liberated from his worldly physical body on 26th day of the month of Moharram the 26th day of Moharram is celebrated every year as Annual Urs. Emancipated spiritually elevated souls and saints do not “Die”, but are “Liberated”. This phenomenon is called “Purdah Farmana” as per sufi traditions or “Samadhi” as per Hindu customs. The annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin is celebrated every year from the 22nd Moharram to 29th Moharram.

Beginning of Annual Urs :- The start of Annual Urs Celebrations is fittingly grand and glorious. It starts with Kawwali in Praise of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin in the office of the Trust. It is graced by the August presence of the king, Raje Raghuji Bhosale, Sajj adanashin and Trustees of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust, besides the elite devotees of Baba. Thereafter, Raje Bhosale Carries, the Parcham (Flag) to the Nishan (Flag post). The process of Flag-Hoisted completed with great fanfare, after graceful prayers by Shahi Imam of Tajabad. Thereafter Chader is presented at the Shrine of Baba Tajuddin by the Trust. There after a grand meeting of devotees is organized by the truest. This meeting is attended by elite leaders of the city. Herein various views, are expressed as also light is thrown on Hazrat Baba Tajuddin’s life.

Chhabbisi of Urs :- It is considered to be the most important day of the Urs. On this day Durbari Shahi Sandal is Taken out from Trust Office with great fanfare, bands, Nagadas etc. Huge crowd of devotes crowd the procession which goes around the city of Nagpur. It reaches back in the evening when Chader and Sandalwood paste is offered at the Shrine.

Kul Shareef :- It is the culmination of the celebrations of Urs. Holy water from the tomb is sprayed upon the devotees at the shrine at around 11.00 a.m. Devotees look forward to it impatient as the Holy water is said to have miraculous, divine healing powers.
